In grade 5 students are working
really hard on drawing a face. They can look realistic, funny or cartoonish;
the main goal is to learn where to put the facial features…No eyes in the forehead
anymore! They are being encouraged to push their colouring skills and sometimes
that takes more effort but it’s well worth the time. We have also started
student/teacher one on one conference to discuss analyze their work, share feedback
and self-assess.
In grade 7 students are working
really hard on their building/structure drawing project. Shading takes a lot of
time and technique. I am really impressed with their work but most importantly,
I think many of them are impressed with their own work! We have also started
