Training for Excellence 8 - Hidalgo

Hello everyone. I hope you and your family are well. With everything going on, we will posting updates on the blog. In the meantime, it is important to stay active for your physical and mental health. We did a lot of body weight exercising in class that you could do at home. As well, getting outside for a walk or shovelling the driveway is a great alternative!
Take care and be active!

Thalheimer Outdoor Ed 7 & Training 9

Outdoor Education 7
This week we had the privilege of having an Avalanche Box at the school. In the box there were Avalanche Transceivers and so both classes were outside each day playing with the transceivers hiding and searching for them on the school grounds. This upcoming week they will need to finish their Wildlife Safety Presentation and be prepared to start presenting the following week.

Training for Excellence in Sport 9
This week both classes continued to work through the Workout Log Sheet I provided them at the beginning of the term. This sheet introduces the students to a variety of different weight lifting and bodyweight exercises in order to prepare them to plan their own workout plan. This upcoming week both classes will be tasked with designing and completing their individual workout plans that each student will then follow for a short period of time afterwards.
